further cruelty after being born unto
this awfulness
seems unpardonable to me
but then most don't know
of our central myth
the sad medusa hay-zeus
of helium snakes

scare crow poems
a whole book of them

and bleak grey days
spent exploring the innards
of wispy willowy trees
their see through forms
