thinking about missed opportunities this morning, and i have to say, way up there near the top, is the idea that a really major world religion devoted to plant adoration never happened.. when you think about it, plants are about as close to the divine as the material world (as a form of being) gets.. they are passive but obviously conscious, life-giving, healing, soothing, mysterious, etc.. and even if the religion was sort of not 'really about plants' but something like 'the evoluting communion with other'.. seems like a huge miss on our part.. especially as all the ritual and pageantry options with entheogens and meditation spaces, decorations, emblems, temples etc.. just sayin' .. sort of lame on our part..
